As we approach the last day before Christmas Break, I’d like to list a few announcements.
• I will not be sending home a purple homework sheet this week. In class, we will be reviewing in math and reading/ language arts. In math, we will be revisiting place value, measurement, estimation, time, and money. In reading/language arts, we will be working on increasing our AR scores, narrative elements, sentence structure, writing, and main idea of texts.
• Don’t forget that Wednesday is, “Polar Express Day.” Your children may wear pajamas to school. We prefer that the students wear pajama pants and shirt, but if they are going to wear a gown, please make sure that pants are underneath. Also, sleeveless pajamas tops need to have a t-shirt underneath. Students will need to wear regular shoes as well. This will be a fun day full of activities for the children.
• Thursday, we will be having a Christmas party at 12:30. Here are a few of the items needed, or whatever you would like to donate would be fine. Thank you in advance.
o Cupcakes/cookies
o Chips & dip
o Juice boxes
o Plates
o Napkins
• Last but not least, thank you for a great first semester. Everyone has been wonderful, and I am enjoying your children more and more each day. Have a Merry Christmas, and see you in January!
